New Year's Resolution: Finish Last Year's Resolutions

As I mentioned in my latest (and only, for a while now) post at We Who Are About to Die, I didn't exactly succeed in last year's New Year's Resolution to write a short story a week.  I failed miserably.  So this year, it's that, plus one.  Two short stories a week.  But I also failed at a great number of other things.  I didn't finish NaNoWriMo, which I plan on doing.  I haven't applied to grad school or sent in my Cave Canem check to go again this year (long stories which end with no money).

But this isn't half the drag that it sounds to be.  I'm not downtrodden at all, just refocusing.  As a matter of fact, some of my poetry is coming out in a number of publications.  More on that on a later post.

For now, happy New Year's, and here's to failing as many times as it takes to get it right.
